Internship Program

The Capron Park Zoo currently offers unpaid internships to college students interested in animal care and conservation. Summer Internships are 12 weeks long, and interns will get experience in all areas of zoo management, including, but not limited to: animal care, conservation education, and operations/maintenance. Applicants must be able to dedicate a minimum of three days a week, five hours per day.

PLEASE NOTE: Capron Park Zoo DOES NOT offer job shadows or intern rotations in veterinary care.

Requirements: Applicants must be 18 or older and have some basic background in animal natural history and care. Experience in education and hands-on skills (such as carpentry) a plus. Ability to lift 30 lbs and proof of a recent negative TB test required.
